Dimeji Bankole sneaks into buka to eat Amala

You absolutely won't believe this, but it’s real. The number four citizen of the country and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Dimeji Bankole, was recently caught sneaking into a road side buka in Ikeja, to eat one of his favorites. Seriously!, the speaker defied all protocols as he navigated his way through to Otigba street, Ikeja, Lagos, where he had a lunch of Amala with Gbegiri and Ewedu soup. Many could not believe their eyes when they saw the Speaker walk into the popular Bostai Restaurant, Otigba Strret, Ikeja, famous for amala. Immediately he was sighted, passers-by and traders surged forward to confirm whether the Speaker actually came to have lunch or for another purpose. Societywatch was right there as the Speaker who was decked in his usual white kaftan, came out of the ‘buka’ smiling, looking refreshed and apparently satisfied with the taste of the food. A curious observer immediately accosted him and asked what he had come to do and he said “I have come for lunch and I enjoyed the delicacy,” he said. On how often he visits the place, the Ogun state born speaker said, “I visit here always, and the taste of their food has not changed.”
The operator of the restaurant, Mama Bostai, confirmed to SW that the Speaker is a regular customer of the eatery. “Long before he became the speaker, he has been coming to the restaurant. His father’s house is not far from here.” She however declined further comment on the issue.
If the speaker, the number four citizen of the Country could jettison the exclusive environment and the high-profile restaurant in Abuja and Lagos, to have a lunch of Amala in a buka located in a crowdy area like Otigba street, Computer Village, Ikeja then, the taste of the food must be something else.
